Summer Art Camps

Created 2 Create™️

Image Bearers Arts Academy is proud to offer a unique, engaging, fun, and instructive summer art camp that can be easily adapted to any church’s distinctive size and available space. The program consists of instruction in many different art forms, including painting, drawing, collage, photography, Photoshop, acting, screen acting, and musical theatre with add-ons for other arts including pottery and culinary instruction.

The goal of IBAA’s Created 2 Create™️ summer art camp program is to teach children about who God is, how He has created us, and how everyone can use their individual, unique, and creative abilities for His purposes and to love their neighbors well.

Why Art Camp?

Why should churches hold summer art camps? Why not just do a VBS program? How do art camps reach children and their families for God in ways that other programs cannot?

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”
—Genesis 1:1

The first attribute about God that we learn through the scriptures is that He is creative. He creates. And he creates for good.

“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
—Genesis 1:31

But God did more than just create. He created humanity to carry forth His image, His attributes, and His purposes for good.

“So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
    male and female he created them.”

—Genesis 1:27

We have all been made to bear His image in all of His attributes, including His creative nature, all for good. As image bearers, we all have inherent dignity that is not defined by what we do, or how well we do what we do, but by who we are, or, more accurately, whose we are. Therefore, we are all knit together so that we are able to use our creative nature to care and love and provide for each other and others.

IBAA’s Summer Art Camp instructs and encourages kids in these concepts, teaching them that a creative God made them unique and how they can use their God-given creative abilities to serve and love those around them. Our art camp teaches kids about Christ, using the arts to show His beauty, truth, and love for all.
