Chino After-School
Art Classes
Our classes run from January 24th, 2024 to May 15th, 2024
For the past 4 years IBAA has offered after-school/homeschool art classes in multiple different disciplines within the visual, culinary, and performing arts, with engaging, high-caliber instruction. Available for ages 5 to 18, these programs will instruct your students in form, technique, and artistic expression. Your students will also broaden their minds regarding the philosophy of art and beauty. We have a broad range of teachers who expertly engage your students and teach a variety of different art classes.
Cinematic Arts
Art of Animation
Art of Animation
To animate is to draw from life and to move the audience through the power of storytelling. Our Art of Animation course will offer a variety of fundamentals for aspiring artists to start their journey with. We’ll cover the basics of animating movement, designing characters and worldbuilding, and learn the 3-act structure of storytelling. The final project would be making a short comic with all the character designs and worldbuilding the artists created throughout the whole semester.

*Culinary Arts
This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of baking, chopping, and mixing to combine different flavor profiles, giving students the chance to learn practical skills for making various dishes. This class will allow students to explore the world of the culinary arts. There is so much to explore in the world of food and we invite you to join us!
7-Week Culinary Arts - Wednesdays at 5:30pm to 7:00pm
*Note: Registration for Culinary Arts is through our new form system. To join the class, please fill out the form. Payments are due at each class session through cash, check, or card

Performing Arts
In this class, students will explore various singing, acting and dancing techniques and have the opportunity to put them together to become well rounded performers. This will be done through scenes or monologues, songs and short dance numbers! In addition to musical theater fundamentals, students will be able to practice teamwork, gain confidence and have FUN through in-class rehearsals and a final performance!

Studio Arts
This class is a hands-on introduction to drawing and painting. Students will explore lessons in drawing with graphite pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, and ink as well as lessons in painting with acrylic paints, brushes, colors, and composition. Students will study basic proportions, various styles of drawing and painting, and how to enjoy using various materials with confidence!
