Faith-Based Art Education

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.'" – Genesis 1:1,26a

The first attribute about God that we learn through the scriptures is that He is creative. He creates. And he creates for good. But God did more than just create. He created humanity to carry forth His image, His attributes, and His purposes for good.

We have all been made to bear His image in all of His attributes, including His creative nature, all for good. As image bearers, we all have inherent dignity that is not defined by what we do, or how well we do what we do, but by who we are, or, more accurately, whose we are. Therefore, we are all knit together so that we are able to use our creative nature to care and love and provide for each other and others.
IBAA instructs and encourages kids in these concepts, teaching them that a creative God made them unique and how they can use their God-given creative abilities to serve and love those around them. Our classes teach kids about Christ, using the arts to show His beauty, truth, and love for all.
