First of all, we want all parents, students, teachers, and administrators to know that our highest priority for everyone involved in our school is safety during this pandemic. Every decision that we make in moving forward with our after-school programming must not unnecessarily expose any of our participants to danger due to COVID-19.

We are monitoring what the state of California is requiring of schools and will follow the guidelines set forth by the state in order to keep our families and staff safe. We don't yet know if it will be responsible to meet on campus this spring, but we are moving forward under the assumption that it will at some point. We believe that if students are to receive the benefits of an arts education, it must be delivered in-person, but we also understand that virtual classes can be taught with excellence. Our current plan is to open virtual classes in March, and open in-person classes when it is safe to do so.

If we are able to responsibly meet in-person this spring, we will be doing everything we can to make sure families and staff are safe, from having small class sizes where students can be separated effectively, to wearing masks, to implementing sanitary cleaning procedures and practices for all staff and students, to holding classes outdoors where it makes sense to do so.

Please email us at contact@ibartsacademy.com if you have any questions or concerns regarding our COVID-19 response at any time. Thank you.
